What motivates you to be a Cypress Ambassador?
I'm in awe of the creativity and ingenuity of Cypress, and I am excited to be part of the Cypress Ambassador Program as Cypress develops new and exciting features!
How do you currently help others that are either using Cypress or interested in using Cypress?
I currently lead a team of SDET's, and I collaborate, create documentation and facilitate sessions with my team to show new features and code to promote learning and creativity.
What is your favorite Cypress feature?
Cypress Cloud has been a game changer. It has helped make debugging easier and also helps with collaboration between team members.
What is your favorite "Cypress Best Practice" and why?
I love using the data-cy* feature. It makes our tests more reliable and less brittle by having dedicated elements for test automation,
Outside of work, what are your favorite things to do (hobbies, passions, etc.)?
I enjoy running, traveling and watching soccer (Tottenham Hotspur fan!).
What is one professional milestone you are proud of? (an accomplishment, celebration, recognition, etc.)
When we made the switch from a different test automation technology to Cypress. It has allowed for us to collaborate with our front-end developer friends more closely by working in the same repo and working on test automation earlier in the development lifecycle.
For new users - what is the best way to "get started" with Cypress?
I would suggest playing around with some of the sample projects that Cypress provides. They will allow you to see how Cypress runs locally on your machine and how it can help you debug errors and find issues.
